Original interiors in the neoclassical style represent a unique combination of respectability and aristocratic sophistication. Pragmatism in them is combined with nobility, the finish uses modern materials and trendy design finds. This style interprets the classics in a modern way. It retains the inherent aristocratism of classical design. Neoclassical interior style is often chosen by conservative individuals who use flexibility in decorating their homes.

It absorbs trendy design ideas and adjusts to modern trends. This design is gaining popularity not only among professional designers, but also among ordinary people. Property owners decorate it on their own, drawing inspiration from the original design projects.

To give an answer to the question of what is neoclassic in the interior will help to list the main characteristics of this direction, among which:

  • Rich decor.
  • Natural shade palette.
  • Simple, but at the same time comfortable surroundings.
  • Symmetry with orderliness.
  • Natural ornaments.

Regardless of what room is used, neoclassicism always looks neat and expensive. Rooms are furnished with beautiful furniture, high quality materials and exquisite accessories are used in the finishing. One of the features of the style is the natural range, harmonious color combinations, the absence of contrasts, colorful accents.

The furnishings are characterized by simplicity and brevity, the emphasis is on comfort.

The rule of symmetry and orderliness applies to furniture and decor elements. Almost all interiors have plant prints. They are present in textiles, decorative elements, dilute the laconicism characteristic of this direction.

Answering the question of what is neoclassic in home design, let’s list its main features. First of all, it is an expensive look of the room. This style does not accept unnecessary details, gives priority to natural finishes. At the stage of decorating the dwelling, it is important to remember about the measure, to observe accuracy. The decor necessarily involves classical details: stucco, mirrors. They bring luxury and extravagance to the environment.

Special attention should be paid to the layout: neoclassicism, if desired, can be integrated into any dwelling. A room with high ceilings and enfilades is considered ideal. It is great if the dwelling will have a spacious living room.

Elements of decor can be artistic paintings in frames with carvings, elegant candlesticks with candelabra, clocks in the style of retro. Unique and aristocratic look is given by statuettes and busts of marble.

The requirements to the layout of the apartment are identical – it is better to recreate the neoclassics in large rooms. It is advisable to create a multilevel lighting, for example, to use a large chandelier with many pendants.

Many homeowners choose the Scandinavian style and appreciate it for its brevity and some coolness. Home decoration in this spirit allows you to feel the closeness to nature. This direction is especially loved by specialists in interior design, living in the northern European countries. This design evokes associations with the Norwegian fjords, Swedish lakes and Finnish winters.

The style captivates by its independence and authenticity, this interior design does not lose relevance over the years. It requires the use of natural materials in the design of surfaces. This is because until the nineteenth century in the Swedish and Norwegian architecture was actively used wood. In northern European countries it is of high quality, perfectly suitable for finishing interiors.

To answer what is the Scandinavian style in the interior, you need to list its main features, to familiarize yourself with the laws. The specificity of this direction is due to the harsh climatic conditions of the northern states – any frost, an abundance of snow, lack of sunlight. Bad weather is a given, but the creation of a warm interior is really a feasible task. Such a contrast provides a psychological fight against the piercing winds and frost.

The main laws of Scandinavian design:

  • Absence of “playing to the public”
  • functionality of furnishings;
  • abundance of glass;
  • purity of lines, the prevalence of natural forms;
  • stability and reliability.

“Northern” design does not set itself the task of playing to the public. The furnishings are supposed to be comfortable and convenient for the property owners. The visual impression is of secondary importance.

Important: The furniture must be functional. Residents of northern countries have to constantly fight for light and space. It is not necessary to overload the room with furnishings. Each element must perform several functions.

Use more glass, it can be cool transparent and milky matte. This material has the ability to diffuse rays of light. Scandinavian style design is based on the play of light and shadow. Make it so that more sunlight enters the room. Decorate window openings with light curtains made of linen or cotton fabric instead of thick portieres.

Recommended shades;

  • blue;
  • snow-white;
  • gentle green;
  • light gray.

Important: All lines must be organic and forms must be natural. This applies not only to furniture, but also other interior details, including handles on the doors.

SCANDINAVIAN STYLE IN THE INTERIOR OF THE APARTMENT

The modern inhabitants of Scandinavia have discipline in the first place, their life resembles Spartan. They are adherents of minimalism and austerity, they like to put their apartments in order. To decorate the walls in their homes they use graphic posters, the ceiling surface is decorated with surrealistic light bulbs, and the floor is covered with rugs in gray.

Strength, lightness, enormous size and excellent quality of reproduction of natural unique stones or concrete – all these requirements are collected in itself – large-format porcelain stoneware. Due to the above properties, provided quality laying, the use of porcelain stoneware allows you to achieve a unique aesthetic effect in the room and translate any design image to life.

Based on our experience with this material, we can note the selection process, cutting, installation features and other technical issues encountered during the implementation of our projects.

The choice of material according to the visualization means not only the availability of the desired shade and pattern of large-format porcelain stoneware in the store. Do not forget to specify such details as the batch of goods. All porcelain stoneware for the interior project must be from the same batch, otherwise the colors of the panels may differ and be out of the overall ensemble. Careful inspection of each panel in the warehouse makes it possible to assemble a seamless and organic composition.

Attention should be paid to transportation of material to the site and further installation. Large size porcelain stoneware is not only a noble decoration of the interior, it often becomes an unexpected problem, because the material is difficult to deliver.

Our team found three options for delivery:

The first was to be able to transport each panel between the stairwell railing, but even here the dimensions of the panels turned out to be larger.

The second – delivery from the street with a crane. Here it is important to note the floor, as the price depends directly on the request for the height of delivery. A crane with the ability to lift up to 18 floors obviously did not fit into the budget, which was necessary in our case, plus the special weather conditions – the need for a complete lack of wind eliminated this option.

The third – transportation on the roof of the elevator. This option was the final and realized in our case.

Cutting of large-format porcelain stoneware requires certain knowledge, skills and equipment. After all, its size varies 800x2400mm, 1200x2400mm, 1200x3200mm, 1000x3000mm, 1500x3000mm. Just differs and the thickness of the material 5 mm, 6 mm, 10 mm and 12 mm. Thanks to modern technology, several options for cutting large format boards have become possible – a simple straight cut, 45 degree cutting for corner joints and water-jet cutting for wavy and rounded shapes. The variety of processing allows you to create a complex and unusual design of products, including non-standard shapes.

So, concluding from our practice we can say – porcelain stoneware of large format opens up new possibilities in interior decoration. With these giants – they are endless and allow you to implement the most daring creative ideas, which every year with their new products clearly demonstrate the Spanish, Italian and Russian manufacturers.
